A fantastic location for exploring the Costa Smeralda

The Costa Smeralda

Harmony between luxury and enchanting nature

Created by the Arab prince Karim Aga Khan in the late 1950s, the Costa Smeralda is now world famous as one of the most exclusive resorts in the Mediterranean and an international luxury holiday destination.

Not only famed for its mega yachts and celebrity holidaymakers, the Costa Smeralda is also renowned for its enchanting nature: paradisical beaches that are among the most beautiful on the island, surrounded by wind-sculpted granite rocks and Mediterranean maquis.

The Costa Smeralda is also an example of sustainable tourism. The first buildings were designed by the best architects of the time, who managed to create a harmony between a Mediterranean architectural style and the surrounding landscape.
